PBK Script Update

(Layne here, posting this on behalf of Kyle since he doesn't update his blog very regularly any more)

Well, Friday was a pretty busy day for me. I wrote up a script for an episode of Project BlackKnight. Layne liked it. Always a good thing when Layne approves.

Anyway, rewrote the episode today because Layne wanted me to change a few things. I also wrote up another episode that Layne wanted me do.

Layne had written up a script and he didn't like where it was going, so he gave it to me so that I could rewrite it. I did that today. I'm pretty sure that next time I see him, he'll have me rewrite it some more, but I don't mind. Just as long as I don't end up writing the whole show.

Kevin also wrote up an episode, but I think it seems like it should just be the end of an episode. It's too short. I'm sure Layne will tell him how to fix it up.

This is the first time that I've written a script in a while, so it's a good thing that Layne likes it so much. The last time I wrote a script for Thomas Productions, it was for Pirates of the Backyard.

Anyway, I just wanted to let you know how things are going with PBK.

MTE: 17

Yesterday we filmed Marlin the Elite: Episode 17 (untitled). I'm not sure of the title exactly just yet. We haven't come to a definite decision on that. In this episode, someone will try to get Marlin famous when he bumps into the Elite. I can't say anything more than that or Layne will kill me. Expect it soon. Hopefully within the next two weeks.

I'm excited that we finally did this one. I thought it up during the production of season 1.

Compendium Pushback

The Compendium is now being pushed back a bit. I'm delaying it because I'm really busy with school, but I'm still finiding time for it every once in a while. I can't really tell you when it will be up of the website. But soon enough.

Updated Schedule

Here's un updated schedule for TP Machinima:

Marlin 15: Early/Mid-May

Marlin 16: Mid/Late-May

This would continue regularly we do about 2 episodes per month, and so that's a good way to learn when the next episode is coming out.

The Treus trailer is due out in summer once we finish the third episode. We're not going to be doing much work on the series until we hit summer. The Then we can really start to get rolling on the episodes for Treus. Don't forget that the first episode will be out in mind-late summer.

Marlin Compendium

The Compendium is nearly complete. I am now 70% of the way through, meaning that I have 7 out of 10 chapters finished.

Don't forget that when I finish it, it'll be up on thomasproductionsinc.com!

Marlin's and More

Today, the entire TP team went out to see Iron Man. It's awesome. Go see it.

Then we began filming MTE episodes 15 and 16 simultaneously. After doing a few bits for that, ew did a live episode of the TPCast. THEN we finished up the two Marlins. I expect to be doin' the voiceovers pretty soon, and then see them up on YouTube in a couple weeks.

'Nother Scheduler

Marlin 14: slated for late April

Marlin 15: slated for mid May

Marlin 16: slated for late May

----_----_----_----_----_----

"Treus" Trailer: unknown

"Treus" ep. 1: slated for early summer

__________________________

Also: Progress has been made on Treus! New sound effects were added, as well as a few unneeded shots taken out. I don't want to reveal too much, but Layne also made a "theme song" to be used in episodes 2-3.

We also have decided on possible storyline things and it's all turning out to be a really good show! We still don't know whether or not to have it a seasonal show like Marlin.

Pimp'd OWT & Compendium Update

It was suggested by Layne that I pimp out my blog, so now it looks 76% more ma-grawesome!
On another note, the Marlin the Elite Season 1 Compendium is nearly finished. I have 6 chapters fully completed.

Schedule

I have an educated guess on our Marlin schedule here:
Marlin 14: End of April
Marlin 15: Mid-May
Marlin 16: Late-May
Also, the new drama machinima series is due out in the summertime. All three members of TP discussed this last night. Here's how it's going to work.
We roll out the episodes for Marlin. We want to get season 2 finished in the summertime. That way, we can really start to rumble out the new machinima series. We're working on the first episode in between Marlin episodes. We still need to do some voice-over work and then we can say we're done with it. We want to have the first two or three episodes done with so that we can release a trailer. And then the first episode will be up on the web in summer.
Marlin Season 3 should begin is summer as well, as long as we keep up our schedule. I cna't say anything about season 3 besides that it'll be pretty funny. We have two-three episodes covering one story there.

Chapter 4 Finished; Excerpt

Chapter four of the Compendium has officially been completed. It's the longest so far. And, as I promised, I'll give you a little taste of what the book is really like. Here's something that you can expect from chapter 2:

Marlin walked slowly through a doorway and stopped halfway through a small room. “Ah, man.” He sighed. “I’m really bored! I don’t know what to do today. Oh well, I guess I could always go look at the beautiful city.” He turned and walked out of the room, and turned the corner on his balcony to look at the billboard.

“Ah, another gorgeous day in the city.” He turned. “Hey – that billboard! Hang on a second… I know what I’m going to do today!” The billboard that showed the glowing Civilian Warthog gave marlin the idea of a lifetime, an idea that, if put into physical action, could give a thrill like no other. He stood confidently, staring out into space, and nodded his head as he said the next five words. “I’m goin’ to the dunes.”

Marlin drove his Gauss Warthog to the local train station, where he had bought a ticket to take a train to a desert area that had been bought by a company to turn it into a place to drive and have fun. A small train zoomed above his head as he drove directly under tracks and parked up on the second floor of a parking garage. Crashing his Warthog into the wall, he got out and went through the door labeled TO TRAINS.

He went to a series of interconnected hallways where he stopped to let a train pass, and then continued across the tracks to the boarding area.

Marlin the Elite Compendium Update

The Marlin the Elite Season 1 Compendium is about 33% of the way through. In English, I've got 3 out of 10 chapters completely finished. Each chapter takes the role of one episode.

I'm planning on finishing chapter 4 later today when the internet isn't so slow. And when that's done, I'll give you all a little excerpt from one of the chapters.

Earlier I believe I said you can expect to see the fully complete Compendium up for download on ThomasProductionsInc.com once I'm finished with it. I've spoke to Layne (the head of TPI) about having the site host the book, and we've come to the agreement that you can expect to download it sometime in late April/early May.

Marlin the Elite Season 1 Compendium

I am currenlty writing a book entitle Marlin the Elite Season 1 Compendium. It will feature ALL ten episodes of the first season of MTE, written as if for a book. The beginning of the first chapter has a little bit of Marlin's background and how he lost all of his money. Another interesting reason for reading this book will be for the character's thoughts. Some characters are thinking things during the episodes and you don't know what they're thinking! With this book you will. It will be up for download on http://www.thomasproductionsinc.com/ once I'm finished with it. I'm about a third of the way through. Expect to see it up in May.

The Being 3, New Machinima Series, and Marlin the Elite fan episode

Allright, it needs to be set off the bar The Being 3, the third movie in a trilogy, has NOT been canceled. It's just ben delayed a little bit.

A new machinima series, which Layne mentioned in his blog, is also coming soon. A trailer is expected to be put out on YouTube once we have the first two or three episodes finished completely. That way, we'll have enough shots to be put in a trailer. Also, the first episode will be put on the internet after the trailer has worked up enough hype.

Finally, the Marlin the Elite fan episode will be filmed on Sunday at 1:00 PST, so you better join that YouTube group if you want to be in it!

Welcome!
